Several Reddit users claim to have successfully acquired Grand Theft Auto 6 for free through various methods involving Microsoft Rewards. One user, Financial_Specific24, reported using card points from the Xbox Mastercard, while another, Automatic_Ad1665, utilized Microsoft Rewards points accrued from everyday tasks.
According to reports, the Standard Edition of GTA 6 retails for $80, and the Ultimate Edition is priced at $100, which includes exclusive content such as cars, weapons, and additional side activities. However, players have found ways to mitigate these costs. For instance, 1,000 Microsoft Rewards points are roughly equivalent to $1, meaning players would need to accumulate 100,000 points to redeem for the Ultimate Edition at no cost.
Microsoft offers various avenues to earn Rewards, including making purchases in the Microsoft Store and completing daily activities through the Microsoft Rewards dashboard. Players can earn points by engaging with the Xbox app, completing Quests, and even through specific Bing searches. Those with a Game Pass subscription can earn points at an accelerated rate, further enhancing their ability to accumulate rewards.
While some methods may not be feasible for everyone, such as obtaining a credit card for points, the Microsoft Rewards route provides a straightforward way for dedicated players to potentially secure GTA 6 at a significant discount or even for free by the time of its release in November.
