Grand Theft Auto VI has been delayed before, and some fans on Reddit and elsewhere worried it could happen again. In August, Mashable laid out why the November 19, 2026 date looked solid.
The Signs It Is Coming
- Pre-orders are open. Rockstar opened pre-orders in June, and millions of players have already paid up to $100. As Mashable notes, publishers rarely take pre-orders at that scale unless they are confident in the date.
- Take-Two's CEO said so. In a TikTok interview reported by GameSpot, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said the game will come out on November 19. Take-Two is Rockstar's parent company and publisher.
- Rockstar's marketing is in launch mode. Rockstar premiered an extended gameplay look in August, and on October 15 released the Launch Trailer, whose description ends: "Grand Theft Auto VI arrives November 19."
What This Means
Rockstar has given no sign of another delay. Digital pre-orders can pre-load from November 12 — check your local unlock time.
