The Trailer
Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2 on May 6, 2025, through the Rockstar Newswire and its YouTube channel. You can watch it on GTA VI Hub.
Where the first trailer introduced the setting, Trailer 2 is built around the game's two protagonists, Jason and Lucia, and how their story pulls them across the state of Leonida.
Jason and Lucia
The trailer presents Jason and Lucia as partners, and Rockstar has confirmed both as playable protagonists. Much of the footage follows the two of them together, which is a change from the separate three-protagonist structure of GTA V.
Vice City and Leonida
Vice City is the centrepiece: neon nightlife, beaches and an Art Deco skyline. The trailer also moves well beyond the city, into the Leonida Keys and the countryside and smaller towns inland. Our Leonida locations guide lists every place Rockstar has shown so far.
The Supporting Cast
Alongside the trailer, Rockstar introduced a wider cast, including Cal, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez and Raul Bautista. See all GTA VI characters.
What Has Changed Since
Trailer 2 arrived with a May 26, 2026 release date, which Rockstar later moved to November 19, 2026. On October 15, 2026, Rockstar released the Launch Trailer.
