Community Discussion
Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer, released on October 15, 2026, quickly became the main talking point across gaming media. Outlets including The Hollywood Reporter and IGN covered the reveal, and some commentators argued the trailer makes a strong case for the game's price.
Hardware coverage followed fast. Mashable and PCMag ran pieces comparing consoles, especially the PS5 Pro, as players try to work out where GTA VI will look and run best at launch. Rockstar says the trailer itself was captured entirely in-game on a PlayStation 5.
Music is the other big topic. The trailer is scored by Justice, the French duo Rockstar names as composers of the game's original score, and it debuts their single "Flower in a Hurricane" featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
Background
Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders are open, and Rockstar has said digital pre-order buyers can pre-load from November 12.
Editions and pricing are already public, so most of the conversation now is about how the game will look and play rather than what it costs. A PC version has not been announced.
What This Means
The launch trailer is Rockstar's lead-in to release, and the reaction shows how much attention the game is drawing a month out. Rockstar has not said whether more trailers will follow, so we are not calling this the "final" trailer.
