Confirmed Facts
Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to launch on November 19, 2023, at midnight local time in most countries. This means players in New Zealand will be among the first to access the game, receiving a roughly 20-hour head start over players in Central America.

Timestamps for the game's release have been spotted on the PlayStation Store, indicating that the rollout will start in New Zealand at 11 AM UTC on November 18, which corresponds to midnight on November 19 in New Zealand.
Players on Xbox Series X/S can adjust their console settings to New Zealand time to play early, while PlayStation 5 users may need to create a separate New Zealand account to access the game before their local launch time.
Community Reports
Community discussions suggest that fans are already planning to change their console locations to New Zealand to gain early access to GTA 6. However, these claims are unverified.
While preloading will be available, the game will not unlock until the designated time for each timezone. This staggered release means that players in various regions will experience the launch at different times, with the U.S. players gaining access at midnight Eastern.
What This Means
The midnight local rollout allows players in different regions to experience the game as soon as it becomes available in their respective time zones. This could lead to a significant online presence and discussions as players share their experiences and gameplay from the moment the game launches.
