The State of Leonida
Grand Theft Auto VI takes place in the fictional state of Leonida, Rockstar's take on Florida. Rockstar's own tagline for the game describes it as "the darkest side of the sunniest place in America."
Vice City
Vice City is the heart of the map: an Atlantic coastline with Art Deco skylines, beach boulevards, yachts and a nightlife scene modelled on Miami.
The Leonida Keys
South of the mainland, the Leonida Keys are a tropical island chain connected to Vice City by bridges and causeways — marinas, stilt houses and open water, inspired by the Florida Keys.
Port Gellhorn
Port Gellhorn is a smaller mainland town with industrial yards, motels and rural highways — a working-class contrast to Vice City.
Ambrosia
Ambrosia is a Leonida region beyond the city, with wetlands, farmland and open countryside.
Mount Kalaga
Mount Kalaga is the landmark that anchors Leonida's inland geography and gives the map real elevation.
