According to Mashable, an extended look at Grand Theft Auto VI will air on Netflix on August 27 at 3 p.m. ET. For those unable to access Netflix, the same footage will be available on Rockstar's YouTube channel at 9 p.m. ET on the same day.
The Netflix website states, 'Coming August 27: See an extended look at Grand Theft Auto VI, the next evolution in the groundbreaking Grand Theft Auto series.' However, neither Rockstar Games nor Netflix has specified whether this will be a trailer or another format, leaving fans curious about what to expect.
Fans have been speculating for months about when new gameplay footage would be revealed ahead of the game's release on November 19. The previous Trailers have primarily focused on the game's tone rather than gameplay mechanics, leading to further anticipation for this upcoming footage.
Background
Grand Theft Auto VI is one of the most highly anticipated titles in gaming history, with a release date set for November 19. The game is expected to push the boundaries of open-world gaming, building on the legacy of its predecessors.
Despite the excitement, there has been a notable absence of detailed gameplay footage, with fans eager to learn more about the mechanics and features of the game.
What This Means
The airing of an extended look on a streaming service like Netflix is an unusual choice for a game reveal, marking a departure from traditional marketing strategies. This could indicate Rockstar's intent to create a unique viewing experience for fans.
