According to Kotaku, the gameplay trailer features several notable details. New wildlife has been introduced, and the gameplay mechanics appear to be heavily influenced by Red Dead Redemption 2. Players will be able to interact with characters and animals using a context-sensitive menu, similar to RDR 2.
The trailer indicates that players can visit strip clubs, and it appears that couples can do so together. Weapons in GTA 6 will include specific brands and model numbers, as seen with the 'Moreland 850 Shotgun' in the gameplay.
During a firefight, the reticle changes color, flashing red after a kill and yellow when incapacitating an enemy, suggesting a non-lethal approach is possible. The gameplay also shows Jason slowing down time to aim at enemies, with different body parts highlighted in red and yellow, indicating targeted shots.
The characters, Jason and GTA VI Characters, are shown engaging in various activities, sweating while lifting weights, dancing, and shooting. Car theft mechanics have evolved; players will now need to jimmy locks and complete mini-games to steal vehicles, with some cars featuring trackers and key fobs that need cloning.
The gameplay hints at various interactions within the environment, such as turning lights on and off and checking the fridge for food and drinks. The mini-map has also been updated to feature 3D buildings, enhancing navigation in vertical spaces.
