Reports from VICE indicate that Take-Two Interactive has not provided any updates regarding GTA Online, despite the impending launch of GTA 6 on November 19. This silence has led to speculation that the multiplayer component could be released much later than initially expected.
Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier recently interviewed Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, who confirmed that the company is currently focused on promoting the single-player aspect of GTA 6. Zelnick stated, 'Right now, Take-Two is only talking about GTA 6 in terms of the single-player portion.'
While Schreier did not explicitly claim that GTA Online would be delayed, the lack of discussion around it has raised concerns among players. The possibility of GTA Online being sold as a separate title has also been suggested, especially since Zelnick confirmed ongoing support for GTA V post-GTA 6 launch.
Historically, the launch of GTA V in 2013 saw the online mode released two weeks after the single-player game. With Take-Two's current approach, many players are worried that a similar staggered release could occur again.
